Christopher Lowe
Senior Pastor
Pastor Chris Lowe has served as the lead pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Belleville, Illinois since 2025. He answered God's call to shepherd this congregation with a deep love for the Word of God and a genuine heart for His people.
He and his wife Christa were married in 2004 after meeting at the church they both attended while growing up in West Virginia. God blessed their family in 2021 with their daughter Elizabeth, affectionately known as Lizzy.
After earning a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2006 and a Master's degree in Christian School Administration in 2011, Chris served as an assistant pastor for fourteen years. He also worked as a Christian school administrator for nearly 5 years in Indiana before God called him to serve as the lead pastor of Faith Baptist Church.
Pastor Lowe is passionate about preaching Scripture clearly, strengthening families, and serving the community with the love of Christ.
Scott Baker
Pastor Emeritus
Pastor Scott Baker served as the pastor of Faith Baptist Church from June 1, 1982 until February 7, 2016. He faithfully led the church for over 33 years before transitioning into the role of Pastor Emeritus.
After being saved in 1970, Pastor Baker surrendered to full-time ministry and attended Fellowship Baptist College in Peoria, Illinois. In 1987, he led the church in founding Faith Baptist School, with a vision to give children a strong Bible-based education and to help families raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
During his many years of ministry, he touched countless lives, led many people to faith in Christ, and inspired numerous Christian servants to pursue full-time ministry. Upon his retirement, Pastor Baker was honored with the title Pastor Emeritus in grateful recognition of his many years of faithful service.
Pastor Baker continues to serve the Lord faithfully as a beloved preacher, trusted advisor, counselor, and teacher.
